20/20 VISION IS NOT ENOUGH

What do you think of when you hear the phrase, "2020 vision"? Many people think that if you or your child have 2020 eyesight, then everything is fine.

 

This couldn't be further from the truth. In this video, Dr. Peter Charron, an Optometrist at Northwest Vision Development Center in Bellingham WA explains how there are other visual skills necessary to succeed in school and at work.

 

Being able to read tiny print on the eye chart is just one of them.

 

Other skills required for reading involve eye tracking, adjusting the eye's focus, eye teaming and sustaining these small eye movements throughout the reading duration.
